Pitches/Bath
All games will take place at the Sports Training Village (STV) located on the Claverton Down campus of the University of Bath. See map here.
Rail
Travel to Bath Spa, then take either the U18 or 18 bus to the University. The bus station is located next door to the train station, or you can go to the Abbey (massive Church with a flag) and catch the bus from there. There are two bus companies operating a service to the university and any return tickets will only work on the appropriate bus.
Car
Take junction 18 of the M4 and follow the A46 south to Bath. Parking in the city is difficult to locate if you don't know where to go, and it is best to avoid driving into the city if possible. There are many bus gates which will automatically give you a £30 fine. We hope to be able to get visitors parking permits for you, which would let you park at Uni and catch the bus to town. More details nearer the time.
Plane
For our international visitors, Bristol Airport is closest, while London Heathrow and Gatwick are alternatives. Travel from Bristol Airport involves a bus to Bristol Temple Meads train station, then a train to Bath Spa. Heathrow and Gatwick have train stations in them, but your journey will be longer than if you fly to Bristol (especially if you go to Gatwick). You can check train times here.
Accommodation
The University and sports pitches are on top of a hill, about 20 minutes walk from the city, with regular buses between the two locations. If you would like to stay on campus, the University has nice rooms for £25 a night here. Alternatively there are a number of hostels in town, the main ones being:
- YHA - Located halfway between campus and the city, an ideal location. Beds available for £22 or a 4-bed private dorm for £96.
- YMCA - A five minute walk from the centre of the city. £23 for a bed in a shared dorm.
- St. Christopher's Inn - In the middle of town, on top of a bar called Belushis. £18 for a bed in a shared dorm, or £40 for a twin room.
